CLASSIFIED SUBSTITUTE BUS AIDE
2025 - 2026 school year
Strongsville City Schools is looking for qualified candidates to work as a Substitute Bus Aide.
Duties may include: assisting students / monitoring students on the Bus. Hours are approximately 6:00 a.m. - 9:00 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. - 4:30 p.m.
A passing score on our Pre-employment test is required (spelling, grammar, math).
Rate of Pay:
Bus Aides: $14.84 per hour

- Drivers License
- Social Security Card (showing current name)
- Banking information for direct deposit
- Email address for pay stubs
A clear background check is required: Cost is $46.00 for BCII and FBI (cash/check) or $48.75 (credit card). If you have BCII results that are less than 90 days old, we can accept them. Cost for FBI alone is $24.00(cash/check) or $26.003 (credit card)
An Educational Aide Permit is required: Cost is $25.00 to the Ohio Department of Education.
3 letters of reference are required, or name, address/email of three persons who can be contacted to provide a reference.
